When ask what is the best or number one thing you can do to have healthier stronger nails I bet you think I would say a good nail strengthener. While I do recommend a good nail strengthener for taking care of your natural nails.
The main thing I think that will keep your nails in the best condition possible would be moisture.
In my humble opinion and the most important thing I always would remind clients especially around this time of year because we all get dryer when it starts to get cold and we turn up that heat.
I can't stress enough how important it is to keep your nails hydrated.
If your nails are not hydrated they tend to become brittle and will start to break. When you keep the nails hydrated they will be more flexible.
Here is an example: If you have a brittle nail and you bang your nail on something more than likely it will not give to the pressure and will break or at best it will knock out a small chip in the nail.
However if that same nail is hydrated and flexible it will give to the pressure and bend a little instead of breaking. Yay!
So go ahead while you are out and about this weekend and pick up a good cuticle oil and get ahead of the game!
You know my favorite cuticle oil is the CND Solar Oil and I think you can find it at Ulta, CVS, etc.
Remember it takes about three months before you see results with any new routine you start on your nails.
