You are really excited and have finely made the commitment to get your nails in shape.
You start out being faithful and doing your new nail treatment as directed.
Then all of a sudden you notice your nails are peeling at the edges.
You feel like all that work and no reward, right. :(
Don't give up because once you do get your nails on the right track and stronger they will be easier to take care of.
Here are some things you can try if you are not having great success with your nail treatment.
First make sure you are using a treatment recommended for your type of nails. If you are not sure which one you need maybe a trip to a good local salon should be your first step to get you started.
If you go to a to a reputable salon and tell them you would like to get started on a natural nail treatment they should be able to look at your nails, ask you a few questions and recommend a nail treatment best for your type of nails and will probably have on available to offer you.
Make sure you also pick up a good cuticle oil to go with your treatment because moisture is a very important part of getting those nails off to a good start.
I always liked and recommended the Nail Tek you can see and read about it here.
There are many treatments available, I like the Nail Tek because they have nail treatments for many different types of nail problems and for peeling nails they also offer a foundation to help with adherence and it will also help fill in any ridges your nails may have and give your nails a smoother look.
If you have peeling at the edges it doesn't mean your treatment is not good or not working and it could be that it is just starting to wear off on the edges.
Just give it some time because if your nails were peeling before you started you should notice a difference in around three months. That's about how long it takes the nail to be totally replaced.
Note: Always make sure you wipe your nails good to remove any oils from the nail before you start your nail care each week.
There is also another treatment that I know a lot of people have had success with and the name is close to the Nail Tek it is called Nailtiques and I have never used it but have heard a lot of women say it worked for them when the Nail Tek did not. (just something to keep in the back of your mind)
Just adding this FYI because the names are so close and so you don't get confused at the store. :-/
