Electric Nail File on Natural Nails

So today I want to talk to you about the electric nail file and what I think about the use of it on natural nails.
Ad: Electric Nail File

I found this electric file on Walmart.com and the reason I am talking about it today is because someone sent me a question asking about using the electric file on the natural nails.

Now this girl that ask the question is going to Cosmetology School so she will be doing nails as a professional in a salon. I was so glad that she ask because it is a very good question.

Here is my two cent on using the electric file on natural nails and why!

I only used the electric file on the product, gel, acrylic etc. I used it
to take down the thickness of the product and get a pretty shape to blend the product with the natural nails.

Then as far as the natural nail goes the only thing left to do is removing the shine and oils from the nails.
So a hand file is all you should need in that area and then give them a good wipe to finishing removing the oils.  You may also want to read the information on how to hold a regular nail file here at the How to remove gel nails page.

To help you understand the power of the electric nail file here is an example of what a good electric nail machine is capable of.

I am a do it yourself kind of girl and the hubby and I remodeled our house. So one day we was redoing an area of our stair banister. Yes Wood!

I needed to get our home drill into a really small area and it just didn't work because it was to big.

So as I thought how can I get into that area without having to hand sand and use my nails as a tool. *wink*

I thought about an old nail drill that I had retired and brought home.

So I get it out and the slim design of the machine was perfect and got right into the area where I needed it.
Let me just say that thing could really take down some wood!

So if you are thinking of using that electric file on your natural nail, I hope you remember this story and just know how powerful some of the files can be.

If that nail drill will file wood like that then it wouldn't take long to file through a natural nail.

You Must Use With Caution and preferably with training!

Do you use the electric nail file on your natural nails?
