Oh no you broke a nail!
Well not to worry I have a solution for you to get that broken nail all fixed up! And it's easy, Yay!
I keep reading about patching the nail with tea bags and such, which is fine when you have a broken nail and are in a bind.Believe me I have had women come in with all kinds of things glued to the nail until they could get in to have it repaired.
I thought it might be a good time to share a little trick with you.
Here is what you will need for your nail repair kit and you probably already have most of the items already in your stash.
- Nail Glue (A Good One) I recently found the Kiss Power Flex Nail Glue at Walmart and I am loving it. If you want to see it click here.
- Three-way Buffer See and read about how to use it here.
- Orangewood stick (No link needed *wink*)
- IBD Nail Filler Powder See it here at Sally Beauty Supply
Always start with a clean nail.
- Just barely file the area of the nail to be repaired with the number one side one of your Three-way Buffer. (You are only removing the shine from the nail.)
- If the broken nail is raised up take your orangewood stick and press it down to get it as even as possible.
- Put a little bit of your glue in the crack of the broken nail. (Less is best and try not get the glue on your skin.)
- Before your glue drys, quickly sprinkle a small amount of the Nail Powder into the crack. It's like a little salt shaker. (Again Less is best as you can reapply the glue and add more powder if needed.)
- Your nail repair should be pretty smooth at this point all you need to do is gently smooth it with your buffer and you are finished. Yay! You just saved a broken nail!
