Do you see white spots on your nails and want to know where they come from?
White Spots on Nails |
This is a question a lot of people ask and you may have been told that white spots on your nails are from a deficiency of some sort and that is probably not the case.
White spots like the ones in the image above are called
Leukonychia.
Leukonychia or white spots on the nail usually appear days after you have banged the nail or matrix area on something, so therefore you probably don't even remember hitting it.
It is sort of like a bruise but doesn't turn dark.
Now if you have some sort of white on your nails that don't grow off in a few months it might be a good idea to have it checked out by your doctor.
But more often than not a white spot or two on the nail is usually not anything to be alarmed about. Yay!
What can you do about the white spots on your nails?
Well if it is like the nail above the sad part is the only thing you can do is wait and watch the spot grow off or cover them with a pretty polish.
