| A Fake Nail |
The term Fake Nails is used often and I guess everyone has their own opinion on what they should be called. I call them nail enhancements.
I heard it a lot in the salon sometimes when a clients natural nails would be going through a phase
and not doing so great the first thing a lot of them would ask should I do the fake nails?
I would not say much except maybe tell them, you know if you do a nail enhancement you must be prepared to commit to the maintenance and they all knew I am a firm believer that if you can grow your nails naturally then that is always my first choice.
I can proudly say I never ever put any type of enhancement on someone just to make an extra buck!
You know nail enhancements are called many things: Fake Nails, Artificial Nails, Gel Nails, Silk Nails, Nail Wraps, Liquid and Powder Nails, UV Nails, Tips even Glue on Nails just to name a few.
So if you call a salon to ask for a certain type of nails be careful what you ask for (especially with the language barrier) that exist in salons today or you might just get a fake nail that you don't wont! :(
And did you know those (fake nails) your friend wears may not work for you and that any kind of nail enhancement really is a commitment.
So before you call and ask for fake nails do a little research on the type of nail that may work best for you and your lifestyle because it really can make a difference in how well they do.
The very best thing you can do if you are thinking about having any type of nail enhancement (fake nail) is book a consult or a regular manicure with a reputable nail technician and after seeing your nails and asking you a few questions she should know what will work best for you and then everyone is happy! :-)
With so many great products on the market you may be surprised to find you can get your natural nails in great shape and growing your own natural nail is the best way to go.
