I guess this is one of the number one questions in doing a manicure. How can you keep that nail polish off your cuticles.
Which Nail Polish do you think looks best? |
Next time you get ready to polish your nails try this.
After you have your nails filed and ready to polish, put on your cuticle oil, let it sit a few minutes (dry cuticles sort of act like a sponge to the polish) so if you oil them up before you start will be ahead of your game.
Now take your remover and wipe the nail clean trying to avoid that cuticle as much as possible.
Now you are ready to polish and here is the deal if you have prepared your nails and applied the cuticle oil as mentioned above try this.
Start by being careful with that base coat, even though your base coat may be clear, if you get it on the cuticle the first coat of color will tend to go where the base coat is applied. (on that cuticle)
Try and not polish so far back near the cuticle in the beginning and concentrate more on getting a nice crisp line instead of getting so close to that cuticle.
In the beginning it might look like you had your nails done a for couple of days but it will look much better and more like a professional manicure than that messy line with stained cuticles.
Get use to doing that pretty straight line and then worry about getting it closer to the cuticle.
I think you will be happier with your end result.
