Have you ever gone into the salon expecting to have a fill-in and the nail tech tells you that you need a new full set of nails?
Well if that happens to you then it may be time for you to find a new place to get your nails done, or a least ask some questions. Here are some examples that might indicate you need a new set of nails.
- If you have a lot of lifting.
- If your nails have gotten really stained from a dark polish and you are wanting to switch to a French Manicure or a very light color of polish.
- If you have gone way to long between your fill-ins.
- If your product has yellowed.
- If you have been picking at your nails. oh no! ;)
- If you or someone else has applied a cheap product on your nails.
The growth is why you need to have fill-ins and if you are getting your nails filled in on a regular basis then you are always having new product added to the back of your nail as the old is growing off.
If you have a really good nail technician and she recommends that you have a new set and you don't see anything wrong with your nails (like the sort of things mentioned above) other than the normal two to three week growth.
Don't be afraid to ask why he/she thinks it's time for a new set of nails.
If your nail tech is good, honest and professional then she will immediately have an answer for you.
And if not save your money and find a new nail tech to do your nails.
